We’re hiring a Staff-level / Lead software engineer who owns systems, people, and outcomes. This role is for an engineer who can move confidently across backend architecture, frontend development, and infrastructure, and who values clean, maintainable design.

You’ll play a leadership role within the engineering team, guiding technical decisions, mentoring engineers, and driving best practices. You’ll also work closely with clients to shape requirements, communicate progress, and ensure delivery aligns with business goals, while overseeing cross-functional teams to ship high-quality software on time.

Responsibilities

- Own architectural decisions and long-term technical direction. - Leadership & Management: Mentor and lead junior engineers and cross-functional teams; conduct code reviews and technical planning sessions to uphold best practices. - Client Engagement: Interface with clients to define requirements, provide status updates, and resolve issues, ensuring deliverables meet expectations and drive value. - Develop and maintain backend services using Rust for high-performance APIs and asynchronous systems. - Design and implement end-to-end features, from conceptualization to deployment. - Build and optimize data pipelines, ETL workflows, and database schemas for efficiency and scalability. - Integrate machine learning models into systems. Monitoring model performance & drift. Cost-aware inference decisions. - Manage cloud infrastructure, including deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines. - Collaborate closely with embedded systems and hardware teams on IoT integrations, real-time data processing, and systems-level optimizations.

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of professional experience in backend development (Rust preferred; proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js also considered). - Strong knowledge of frontend fundamentals, including JavaScript/TypeScript and API integrations. - Expertise in database design, data modeling, and performance optimization (SQL/NoSQL). - Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), Linux environments, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Proven ability to architect scalable, maintainable systems with a focus on reliability and observability.

- Ability to distill complex technical concepts into accessible explanations for diverse audiences. - Strategic thinking around trade-offs in design, performance, and maintainability. - Familiarity with reading and applying insights from technical research papers to practical implementations. - Demonstrated leadership in software projects, including managing client relationships and leading engineering teams to successful outcomes.
