Your Role
As an
SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud) Backend Developer , you will build scalable, secure, and high‑performing digital commerce solutions on the Demandware/SFCC platform. You will collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross‑functional teams to develop robust backend capabilities, enhance storefront experiences, and support digital transformation across global retail ecosystems.
In This Role, You Will:
Work on
SFCC backend development , including Eclipse setup, server creation, cartridge updates, and Business Manager (BM) configurations.
Customize and enhance
SiteGenesis
or SFRA-based storefronts.
Develop key eCommerce features such as
faceted navigation, shopping cart, customer accounts, order management, product search, promotions, social commerce, and third‑party integrations
(Payments, Analytics, Tax, Reviews, etc.).
Review functional and technical specifications and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Execute code builds, replicate code across multiple instances, and support deployment workflows.
Configure Business Manager components such as
content slots, assets, promotions, coupons, campaigns , and extend the Demandware/SFCC data model.
Act as a collaborative team member, guide junior developers, and maintain self‑driven learning to stay current with evolving SFCC capabilities.
Ensure delivery of
high‑quality, performant, and secure solutions
aligned with project timelines.
Your Profile
We’re looking for talented diversity professionals with strong eCommerce technology experience and hands‑on Salesforce Commerce Cloud expertise.
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of
object‑oriented programming ; database knowledge is a plus.
Hands‑on experience with
SiteGenesis , including customization and backend logic.
Proficiency in
HTML, CSS, jQuery , and event‑handling patterns.
Understanding of SaaS deployment considerations and Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem.
Good knowledge of Business Manager tasks, workflows, site options, and configurations.
Familiarity with
pricing, inventory concepts, and catalog structures .
Strong experience with
third‑party integrations : Payments, Tax, Ratings & Reviews, etc.
Ability to debug complex issues and deliver clean, maintainable code.
Understanding of
SFCC environments : Sandbox, Development, Staging, Production.
Experience participating in full project lifecycle—from definition to launch.
Knowledge of the
Service and Integration framework
is an advantage.
Knowledge of
Controllers
and hands‑on experience with
SFRA
is a strong advantage.
Nice to Have
Experience customizing
SFRA-based storefronts .
Experience with
cloud‑based DevOps pipelines
and deployment automation.
Exposure to microservices-based architectures or headless commerce integrations.
