Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and design-driven Chief Designer to lead and elevate the creative direction of diverse architectural and interior design projects across Mumbai and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role demands strong design ownership, statutory coordination expertise, and the ability to deliver high-quality, award-worthy design solutions within defined timelines and resource plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of the quality, creativity, and integrity of the design portfolio across entrusted projects.

• Develop innovative, context-responsive, and high-impact design solutions aligned with client objectives and project requirements.

• Prepare comprehensive and fully coordinated design documentation at every stage of the design process.

• Lead the preparation and submission of statutory drawings for projects in Mumbai and MMR, ensuring full regulatory compliance and coordination with permitting consultants.

• Coordinate with sub-consultants, MEP, structural, and other design support teams to deliver fully integrated design solutions.

• Ensure efficient project delivery in line with approved timelines, manpower budgets, and resource plans.

• Monitor design risks and proactively escalate potential issues to the Project Head to avoid client escalations.

• Conduct internal presentations of finalized concept designs to stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams.

• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by delivering timely, accurate, and well-coordinated design solutions.

• Facilitate professional growth of the reporting team through mentorship, structured guidance, fair assessments, and performance motivation.

• Drive personal professional development while contributing to the overall creative and strategic growth of the organization.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8–12 years of progressive experience in architectural or interior design leadership roles.

• Strong exposure to healthcare, education, hospitality, or corporate architecture projects.

• Deep understanding of Mumbai and MMR statutory processes and approvals.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality design portfolios.

• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to balance creativity with compliance, timelines, and resource efficiency.
