Key Responsibilities
Business & Brand Management
Work with the Merchandising Manager, Brand teams & SBO office team to smoothen Brand business and imbibe the Brand values
Analyze buying trips and update management in forecasting business volume.
Support Manager for shorter lead time & good price negotiation to achieve margin coefficient for brands.
Regular meetings with brand buying teams and pre-production, production meetings with Quality team & suppliers to follow on productions, quality, quality, inspection planning to resolve any issues and timely delivery of goods and with Product development team for trends development and selections.
Product Development & Sampling
Fabric research and development to identify from supplier showrooms, supplier mills, fairs, and local market as per the needs of brands and trends which will help the Merchant Manager to push it to brands to achieve the business targets.
Follow all sampling development process (Technical File or Picking request)
Review the tech file with relevant teams and clarify with brands which are not clear.
Obtain all necessary approvals from brands (pattern, samples, print, embroidery, wash, trims, lab tests etc.) for bulk production
Sourcing & Supplier Management
Evaluation of new suppliers and ensure supplier panel coherence as per brands’ needs and expectations (products offer, quality, compliance, price, lead time)
Analyzing cost sheets and negotiation of prices with suppliers and find alternative if prices cannot meet based on Tech file/product to achieve best price.
Ensure that supplier payment terms are as per group policy and if there is any deviation to inform Manager to discuss and get it corrected.
Provide good representation of the Company Policy, Codes of Practice and working process to external contacts on time and ensure that all products are developed/sourced in a socially compliant environment.
Positive working relationship with all suppliers and teams
Production & Order Management
Monitor weekly production plan and shipment tracker with time and action plan, to anticipate issues and provide solutions with clear and transparent communication.
Checking and submission of shipping and accounting invoices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in related field preferred.
At least 5 years’ garment merchandising experience.
Experience in dealing with European customer's preferably French market.
Good in sourcing products.
With MNC Buying Office experience preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Ability to impact, influence and negotiate both internally and externally, good communication, inter-personal, planning abilities, multi-tasking & problem-solving skills, self-driven, proactive and can handle pressure.
Strong understanding of garments/accessories products.
Willing to learn and able to adapt to a new environment.
Good mentality and self-confidence to build personal development.
Strong communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
