About the Role We are looking for a skilled

Matchmove / Rotomation Artist

to join our VFX team. The artist will be responsible for accurately recreating live-action camera and object motion in 3D space, as well as building precise rotomation rigs to match characters, creatures, vehicles, and props. This role forms the technical foundation for seamless CG integration, ensuring perfect alignment between visual effects and live-action footage.

Key Responsibilities Track and solve camera movement, lens distortion, and object motion from live-action plates. Create clean and accurate camera tracks, object tracks, and body tracks for Animation, FX, Lighting, and Compositing teams. Build precise rotomation rigs that replicate on-set motion and performance. Deliver geometry and animation caches aligned perfectly with plates. Collaborate closely with Layout, Animation, Lighting, FX, and Compositing departments. Maintain consistency and high-quality output while meeting production deadlines. Troubleshoot and refine tracking/rotomation based on supervisor feedback.

Requirements 1–6 years of experience as a Matchmove or Rotomation Artist in a VFX production environment. Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as: 3DEqualizer Autodesk Maya PFTrack Foundry Nuke Strong understanding of: Camera lenses and perspective Lens distortion workflows On-set data (survey data, LIDAR, lens grids) Solid knowledge of anatomy, motion mechanics, and performance matching. Strong spatial awareness and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
