Job Description
We are looking for an experienced
Engineering Manager
to lead high-performing engineering teams building secure, scalable, and reliable financial systems. The ideal candidate brings deep fintech domain experience along with strong people leadership and delivery execution capabilities.
You will lead a team of engineers responsible for building critical fintech platforms such as payments, lending systems, card infrastructure, risk engines, or financial APIs while ensuring
regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & People Management
Lead and mentor a team of 8–15 engineers.
Drive hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and accountability.
Coach senior engineers and help grow future tech leads.
2. Technical Execution
Own end-to-end delivery of fintech products and platform components.
Ensure high-quality code, architecture reviews, and system design best practices.
Drive sprint planning, execution tracking, and release management.
Collaborate with Product and Design to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
3. FinTech System Ownership
Build and manage high-availability systems handling financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards
Maintain system reliability, observability, and incident response processes.
Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of cloud infrastructure.
4. Architecture & Technical Direction
Guide microservices-based, event-driven architectures.
Work with distributed systems, APIs, payment gateways, lending workflows, or reconciliation engines.
Reduce technical debt while enabling rapid feature development.
Drive DevOps maturity, CI/CD improvements, and automation.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations teams.
Support audits and regulatory reviews with strong engineering documentation.
Communicate effectively with senior leadership on delivery and risks.
Required Experience
10+ years of software engineering experience with minimum 2–5 years in people management.
Strong experience in FinTech (Payments, Lending, Core Banking, Cards, or Financial APIs).
Proven track record of leading teams delivering high-scale, transaction-heavy systems.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture.
