Role:
Lead on-ground execution, monitoring, and compliance of music licensing across West Bengal, ensuring compliant public performance usage across commercial establishments. Act as Live Local's primary field representative, driving licensing enforcement, onboarding, renewals, and stakeholder engagement with strong operational ownership.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field visits to hotels, restaurants, retail outlets, events, clubs, auditoriums, and commercial venues to assess music usage and ensure licensing compliance.
- Identify unlicensed/under-licensed establishments and initiate licensing processes.
- Onboard new licensees and manage renewals.
- Engage business owners, event organizers, venue managers, and local partners, coordinate with legal, central operations, and licensing teams.
- Maintain visit logs, compliance records, trackers, and territory performance reports; share updates on conversions, challenges, and market insights.
- Support audits, enforcement drives, and special campaigns.
- Track new venue openings, festivals, commercial hubs, and competitive licensing activity.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in music licensing, copyright enforcement, or compliance-driven field roles; prior experience with music labels, licensing bodies, or copyright societies is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of music licensing operations, public performance rights, compliance processes, documentation, renewals, invoicing, and dispute handling.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (Bengali mandatory; Hindi & English preferred).
- Willingness to travel extensively within West Bengal; high field mobility.
- Independent, ownership-driven, strong follow-up orientation; proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, CRM, or reporting tools.
