Role Summary
The Operations Fulfillment Manager will oversee end-to-end order fulfillment operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of products. This role is responsible for managing warehouse operations, logistics partners, inventory accuracy, and process optimization to deliver an excellent customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Fulfillment & Execution
Manage daily order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled within defined SLAs and quality standards.
Monitor order flow across systems and resolve fulfillment exceptions or delays.
2. Warehouse & Inventory Management
Oversee warehouse operations including inbound, storage, and outbound processes.
Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and reconciliations.
Minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and shrinkage.
Coordinate replenishment planning with supply chain and procurement teams.
3. Logistics & Vendor Management
Manage relationships with courier and logistics partners.
Track delivery performance, RTOs, delays, and cost metrics.
Negotiate rates and improve service levels with logistics vendors.
Ensure compliance with dispatch, packaging, and documentation standards.
4. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
Identify bottlenecks in fulfillment operations and implement process improvements.
Drive automation, SOP adherence, and efficiency initiatives.
Optimize fulfillment costs while maintaining service quality.
Implement best practices for packaging, turnaround time, and scalability.
5. Team Management
Lead, train, and manage warehouse and fulfillment teams.
Set performance goals and conduct regular reviews.
Ensure proper shift planning and workload allocation.
Maintain discipline, safety, and compliance standards on the floor.
6. Reporting & Analytics
Track and report KPIs such as order accuracy, fulfillment TAT, OTIF, inventory accuracy, and RTO rates.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Use data insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety standards.
Implement health, safety, and hygiene practices across fulfillment operations.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of fulfillment operations and supply chain processes
Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERPs
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Vendor negotiation and coordination skills
People management and leadership capabilities
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelorโs degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
4โ8 years of experience in fulfillment, warehouse, or operations management
Experience in e-commerce / D2C / FMCG preferred
Proven experience managing logistics partners and warehouse teams
