Job Title: Incubation Manager
Reporting to Director-Skill Development
Job Description:
The Incubation Manager will be responsible for managing and strengthening the startup incubation ecosystem by supporting early-stage startups through mentoring coordination, program execution, stakeholder engagement, and operational management. The role involves overseeing incubation programs, facilitating innovation-driven initiatives, enabling access to funding opportunities, and building strong collaborations with industry, academia, and government bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incubation Program Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the incubation centre.
Support startup onboarding, evaluation, and portfolio tracking.
Design and execute accelerator and pre-incubation programs.
Monitor startup progress through structured review mechanisms.
Maintain startup databases, documentation, and reporting systems.
2. Startup Support & Mentorship Facilitation
Coordinate mentoring support for incubated startups.
Assist startups in business model validation, pitch preparation, and investor readiness.
Guide founders in proposal drafting for government grants (DST, BIRAC, MSME, State Government schemes, etc.).
Facilitate technical, business, and market validation support.
3. Ecosystem & Partnership Development
Build and maintain collaborations with academic institutions, industry experts, investors, and ecosystem partners.
Develop linkages with corporates for innovation challenges and industry-driven problem statements.
Represent the incubation centre at networking events and innovation forums.
4. Program & Event Execution
Organize workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, startup challenges, and entrepreneurship awareness programs.
Plan and execute founder meetups, demo days, and investor connects.
Coordinate logistics and resource allocation for incubation activities.
5. Infrastructure & Resource Management
Oversee co-working spaces, labs, and technical infrastructure.
Ensure optimal allocation of shared resources and facilities.
Support prototype development coordination and technical facilitation.
6. Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
Prepare periodic reports for management, funding agencies, and government bodies.
Track KPIs related to startup growth, funding raised, employment generation, and innovation output.
Maintain documentation related to grants, MoUs, and incubation policies.
7. Strategic & Operational Planning
Contribute to long-term roadmap development for the incubation centre.
Support policy formulation and standard operating procedures.
Identify opportunities for expansion, funding, and sustainability of incubation operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Management / Science / Entrepreneurship or related field.
2–5 years of experience in incubation management, startup ecosystem, innovation programs, or project management.
