CashBook is a business accounting and expense management app used by small and medium businesses across India and rest of the countries. The platform lets businesses record transactions, manage digital cashbooks with team collaboration, sync bank passbooks via SMS, process UPI payments, and generate financial reports — all from a single mobile app. With role-based access control, multi-business support, and real-time sync powered by Firebase, CashBook helps businesses bring transparency and control to their finances.

Role Description

We're looking for a React Native Developer to join us full-time, on-site in Bengaluru. You'll work on a production app with 100+ screens, a custom design system, dual analytics pipelines, and a full Firebase backend along with rest apis integration.

This is a high-ownership role. You'll take feature requests from idea to shipped code — designing the solution, writing the implementation, and making sure it works end-to-end. We don't believe in micromanagement. We need someone who sees a problem and solves it.

We operate in a fast-paced environment where speed and quality go hand-in-hand. We embrace modern workflows — if you use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to code faster and smarter, you're speaking our language.

What You'll Work With

- React Native 0.81+ with Expo packages and TypeScript - Redux + redux-persist for core state, Jotai for lightweight UI state - Firebase (Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Remote Config, Messaging, Analytics, App Check) - react-native-reanimated for animations, @shopify/flash-list for performant lists - A custom component library with theming, typography, and design tokens - react-i18next with 8 bundled Indian languages + 40+ international locales - React Navigation 7 with nested native stacks and bottom tabs - Dual analytics: Amplitude + Firebase Analytics + Sentry for crash reporting - Role-based access control - Subscription integration (CashFree PG SDK) and in-app purchases

What We're Looking For

- 1-2+ years of professional React Native experience shipping production apps - Strong understanding of the native mobile ecosystem — comfortable navigating Xcode and Android Studio and writing native code when necessary - Solid grasp of Redux, state persistence, and real-time data (Firestore listeners) - Experience with TypeScript in a large codebase (not just a todo app) - Proven use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) in your daily workflow to boost productivity - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup where requirements evolve quickly - You don't wait for instructions — you identify what needs to be done and execute

Bonus Points

- Experience with Firebase (especially Firestore, Cloud Functions, Remote Config) - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, GitHub Actions) and publishing to Play Store / App Store - Knowledge of animations (Reanimated, Lottie) and performance optimization - Familiarity with i18n / localization in mobile apps - Experience with payment gateway integrations (CashFree, IAP)
