Senior Test Engineer

Job Title: Senior Test Engineer – AFS Vision

Location: Pune

Experience: 4–8 years (Minimum 5 years overall testing; 2+ years in AFS Vision mandatory)

We are looking for an experienced Manual Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AFS Vision (commercial lending/loan servicing platform) and functional manual testing. The role involves end‑to‑end test planning, execution, and defect management for lending workflows, conversions, and platform upgrades within AFS Vision and its integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze business/functional requirements, BRDs/FRDs, and map them to AFS Vision features and lending workflows (loan origination, booking, servicing, payments, fees, collateral, limits, accruals). - Create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data for SIT, functional, E2E, and regression testing. - Define traceability from requirements to test cases and defects. - Execute manual tests across AFS Vision modules (e.g., Customer, Facilities/Loans, Pricing, Collateral, Payments, Accounting, General Ledger). - Validate interest accruals, fee calculations, payment schedules, delinquency, and statement generation. - Verify interfaces/integrations (downstream GL, data warehouse, reporting, payments, collections) and EOD/BOD batch jobs. - Perform data validation and checks following migrations/conversions and product/patch upgrades. - Log, prioritize, and track defects in JIRA/ALM, providing clear reproduction steps and impact analysis. - Collaborate with BA, Dev, and Ops teams for fixes and UAT support, including production checkout post-release. - Maintain test assets, metrics, and documentation in compliance with SDLC/STLC and banking controls. - Contribute to regression suite maintenance and release readiness activities. - AFS Vision functional knowledge: commercial lending lifecycle, loan/line setup, pricing, interest & fee rules, collateral & covenant tracking, schedules, payments, charge-offs/write-offs, accounting entries. - Manual Testing expertise: test case design, boundary/negative testing, E2E flows, regression, and data-driven testing. - Banking/Finance domain: strong understanding of commercial lending/loan servicing concepts and calculations. - Tools: JIRA/Zephyr (or ALM/QC), Confluence, SQL basics for data validation (SELECT/joins). - Documentation: clear test plans, execution reports, and defect triage notes. - Soft Skills: stakeholder communication, requirement clarification, risk identification, attention to detail. - Experience with AFS Vision upgrades, patches, or conversions (data migration validation). - Exposure to API testing (Postman/SoapUI) for integrated services around AFS Vision. - Basic knowledge of automation (Selenium/Playwright) for smoke/regression (nice to have, not mandatory). - Familiarity with GL/Reconciliation, Regulatory/Compliance testing in banking. - Knowledge of batch job monitoring, file-based integrations (flat files/CSV/XML), and schedulers (Control-M). - Bachelor’s/master’s in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
