Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned HR Leader at the DGM level to lead the Human Resources function for our Motors Division. You will play a pivotal role in aligning HR practices with business goals, managing complex industrial relations with unions, and fostering a leadership culture across multiple plants. You will be a key partner to the senior leadership team, ensuring robust talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement strategies to support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Align HR strategy with business goals to support the Motors Division's growth and transformation agenda.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the leadership team on all HR matters.
- Drive organizational development initiatives, including capability building, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Lead change management efforts during business transitions, mergers, or restructuring.
Industrial Relations & Compliance
- Manage long-term wage settlements, union negotiations, and grievance redressal across multiple manufacturing units.
- Ensure 100% compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
- Build and maintain harmonious relationships with employees, unions, and government authorities.
Leadership Development & Talent Management:
- Build strong leadership pipelines through succession planning, coaching, and leadership development programs.
- Implement performance management systems and foster a high-performance culture.
- Lead talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain critical technical and managerial talent.
Employee Engagement & Welfare:
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and productivity.
- Oversee welfare programs, safety initiatives, and employee well-being efforts across plants.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace environment.
HR Operations & Process Excellence
- Streamline HR operations, including payroll, attendance, training, and HRIS management
- Implement process optimization and automation to improve efficiency and reduce headcount where applicable.
- Develop and monitor key HR metrics and dashboards for executive reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent. Additional certifications in labor laws, industrial relations, or HR strategy preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 18 years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing and engineering sectors.
- Proven experience handling industrial relations and unionized workforce in large-scale plants.
- Strong exposure to leadership development, talent management, and organizational change.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
