Responsibilities

A Day in the Life: This is a full‑time position that reports directly to the CISO and is part of the larger Governance and Compliance team. This position will have a role in performing threat analysis, intrusion prevention system (IPS), physical security, and security incident management. As part of the larger security team, you will be involved in the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), the annual assessment, policy review, and Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations Planning (DR/COOP). The Security Analyst I provides support to planning and review of security controls which safeguard and monitor events for information systems, enterprise applications and data. There will be a focus on internal audit as well as working with external vendors on accreditation, policy development and enforcement.

Qualifications

Techie Aptitude

Product Technical Knowledge: Threat Analysis, Incident and Review, IPS; Threat Analysis.

- Basic knowledge of cause and effect of emerging threats and applicability to the estate.

Security Incidents

- Initial responsibility for trouble tickets that are escalated from EOC/ Service Desk because of security complexity.

Security Architecture

- Basic knowledge of multiple firewall, server, storage, desktop and application security architectures

- Vulnerability management

- Physical Security plans

- Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts

- Basic ability to monitor intrusion & perimeter defense technologies

- Basic ability to troubleshoot, while understanding cause, effect and potential weaknesses

Review and audit

- Basic process and evidence review, internal audit badge logs, access, group membership

Basic understanding of legal, regulatory & industry technology standards.
