Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join our Team in India. As a member of our team, you will support the Assistant Controller and focus on cash management, balance sheet reconciliations, and day‑to‑day accounting operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities. - Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including payroll withholding accounts, employee liabilities, and other accruals. - Reconcile company bank accounts regularly, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies. - Support the monthly financial close process by preparing reconciliations and assisting with general ledger entries. - Provide summarized balances and reconciliation reports to management. - Support accounting processes involving multicurrency transactions, ensuring accurate conversion and reporting. - Assist during external audits by gathering required account information and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 4-6 years of experience in general ledger accounting, cash management, and balance sheet reconciliations. - Experience with payroll withholding accounts. - Familiarity with multicurrency accounting and foreign exchange transactions. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP exposure preferred). - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint) is a plus. - Strong attention to detail, with urgency and thoroughness in task completion. - Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a team environment. - Good oral and written communication skills.
