Safety Officer

Job Description: We are urgently seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Bengaluru and ensure the highest standards of health and safety across our project sites. The ideal candidate will be passionate about maintaining a safe working environment, preventing incidents, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among our workforce. You will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and providing comprehensive training to ensure the well-being of all personnel. Responsibilities: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of project sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety procedures and risk management plans to mitigate workplace risks. Deliver engaging and informative safety training sessions to workers on safety measures, PPE usage, emergency procedures, and other relevant topics. Thoroughly investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all incidents. Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and national safety regulations and standards applicable to the construction and façade industry. Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, reports, and documentation, including inspection reports, training records, and incident logs. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and workers to promote a proactive safety culture and address safety concerns effectively. Requirements: 2-4 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the construction or façade industry. Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively train and influence workers at all levels. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills to identify hazards and implement effective solutions.
