Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Piping Stress Engineer
with strong expertise in static and dynamic stress analysis for offshore/onshore projects. The candidate must have hands-on experience in
CAESAR II
and be capable of independently handling complex stress analysis assignments for USA-based projects while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
static and dynamic stress analysis
of piping systems using
CAESAR II .
Execute stress calculations considering:
Water hammer
Relief valve reaction forces
Slug forces
Wind, seismic, snow loads
Settlement conditions
High temperature & high pressure systems
LNG piping systems
Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, EN, API, etc.).
Review piping layouts and support systems to ensure adequate flexibility and structural integrity.
Select pipe supports and prepare special support design sketches.
Perform analysis of:
Non-metallic piping
Buried piping
Jacketed piping
Expansion bellows
Rigid and flexible couplings
Conduct flange leakage checks using various methods.
Perform trunnion checks and pipe rack loading calculations.
Prepare SLDs and coordinate structural load data with structural engineering teams.
Work on spring supports, struts, snubbers, and related components.
Perform
WRC 107/297 calculations
and nozzle load qualification for static and rotary equipment.
Use tools such as
NozzlePro
for equipment nozzle evaluation.
Review vendor TBEs for springs, snubbers, struts, expansion joints, and antifriction pads.
Review isometrics, equipment drawings, and piping drawings from a stress perspective.
Prepare detailed stress analysis reports and technical documentation.
Participate in model reviews and technical meetings at various project stages.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for integrated project delivery.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot site-related stress issues.
Support proposal activities and assist sales teams during customer technical discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
12–15+ years of experience in piping stress analysis.
Strong hands-on experience in
CAESAR II .
Good knowledge of international codes (ASME B31.3, B31.1, EN, API).
Experience in Greenfield & Brownfield projects.
Strong communication skills to interact with USA-based clients.
Ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Offshore project experience preferred (if required).
Preferred Experience:
LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery projects.
Experience handling USA projects.
Prior experience supporting proposals and client technical meetings.
