Job Summary We are seeking an experienced

IO Layout Engineer

with

4+ years of hands-on experience

in physical design/layout for semiconductor/ASIC design flows. The ideal candidate will be responsible for IO cell planning, placement, routing, and optimization to meet performance, power, and area targets for high-complexity SoCs.

Key Responsibilities Design and implement

IO pad ring layout

for SoC/ASIC designs. Perform IO cell placement, bump planning, and pad ring optimization. Work on ESD structure integration and IO reliability requirements. Ensure compliance with foundry IO guidelines and process rules. Perform and resolve

DRC, LVS, ERC

related to IO layout. Handle IO metal routing, power/ground ring connections, and seal ring integration. Collaborate with packaging and signal integrity teams for IO requirements. Support tape-out activities related to IO layout sign-off.

Required Skills & Qualifications ✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/VLSI or related field ✔ 4+ years of experience specifically in

IO Layout ✔ Strong knowledge of IO libraries, pad cells, ESD concepts, and latch-up prevention ✔ Experience with layout tools such as

Cadence Virtuoso

(or equivalent custom layout tools) ✔ Good understanding of IO DRC/LVS/ERC checks ✔ Familiarity with IO metal stack rules and foundry design guidelines ✔ Strong debugging and analytical skills
