Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (AWS, Security & Compliance)

Role Overview We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, platform security, and system reliability. The role involves managing and improving AWS infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring strong security and compliance practices for a high-availability production environment.

This is a high-ownership role suited for engineers who are comfortable designing secure cloud architectures, automating infrastructure, and maintaining scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for performance, security, and reliability • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TypeScript-based tools (SST, CDK, or similar) • Design and enforce cloud security policies, IAM access controls, and encryption standards • Ensure high availability and scalability of backend services and databases • Support security compliance standards such as PCI DSS, SOC2, or ISO 27001 • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and improve system stability

Requirements • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering • Strong experience with AWS cloud services and architecture • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CDK, SST, Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) • Good understanding of cloud security practices, IAM policies, and network architecture • Experience working with production systems handling high traffic or financial data • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote team environment
