Head of Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead teams that build products customers truly love—products that make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

- Partner closely with the product owner to drive strategic alignment across product innovation and delivery. - Shape and influence the culture, values, and operating processes of a growing engineering organization. - Set clear expectations for individuals based on role and level, aligned to broader organizational goals; meet regularly to discuss performance, growth, provide feedback, and enable development through coaching. - Establish clear priorities and strategic direction in collaboration with engineering, product, and design partners. - Lead hiring and onboarding efforts to build a high-caliber, collaborative, and high-ownership team. - Manage and scale a high-performing engineering group in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. - Ramp quickly on the team’s technology, products, and business goals, including hands-on engagement to build deep technical understanding. - Drive continuous process improvements that enhance delivery velocity, team effectiveness, and product quality. - Own the successful delivery of products and features shipped by your teams.

Skills

- Prior leadership experience with a minimum of 3+ years as a people manager. - Experience building both enterprise and consumer-facing products and engineering systems. - Experience managing cross-disciplined teams (frontend, backend/full-stack engineers, and SDETs). - High EQ (Emotional Quotient) — the ability to manage one's emotions constructively, empathize with others, navigate challenges, and defuse conflict. - Strong stakeholder management — balancing product roadmap goals against capacity and prioritization constraints. - Rapid prototyping & product development — a proven background in building products that iterate quickly. - Operational excellence — demonstrated ability to build and sustain products across the full lifecycle, including strong reliability and observability practices.

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with cloud technologies, data engineering, or large-scale systems - Experience driving complex technical initiatives from concept through execution - Direct experience within Business Intelligence & Content Platforms, Pharma, and Regulatory domains - A proven record of building teams from the ground up and fostering a culture that exemplifies Vivpro’s values
