BOM Procurement Specialist

with hands-on experience in

electronics component sourcing

for

PCB design, fabrication, and assembly projects . The role requires close coordination with

design, production, vendors, and clients

to ensure

cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement

of electronic components. Key Responsibilities Analyze and validate

Bill of Materials (BOM)

received from PCB designers and clients Identify

alternate / equivalent components

based on availability, cost, and lead time Source components from

authorized distributors and manufacturers Manage procurement from: Domestic/ International vendors International suppliers (Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Element14, LCSC, etc.) Handle

price negotiation, MOQ optimization, and lead-time planning Track

component availability, shortages, and EOL parts Coordinate with

PCB Assembly & Production teams

to meet delivery timelines Maintain

vendor database, purchase records, and cost sheets Ensure

quality compliance , authenticity, and traceability of components Support

prototype, pilot, and mass production

requirements Assist in

import documentation, customs coordination, and logistics follow-ups Required Skills & Qualifications Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in

Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Strong understanding of: Passive & active electronic components PCB assembly requirements (SMT / THT / Mixed) Hands-on experience with

BOM costing and sourcing Familiarity with

IPC standards

and component lifecycle management Knowledge of

lead-time challenges and global supply chain constraints Proficiency in

Excel / Google Sheets

for BOM and cost tracking Good communication and vendor negotiation skills Preferred Experience Experience in

PCB manufacturing or EMS companies Exposure to

industrial, IoT, automotive, defense, or consumer electronics projects Ability to handle
