Job Summary
Seeking a
mid-level BESS Sales Engineer
with strong experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar-plus-Storage, and power electronics. Responsible for system sizing, technical proposals, customer engagement, and supporting techno-commercial sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities (ATS-Friendly Keywords Included)
• Perform BESS sizing, energy modeling, load analysis, and application design.
• Prepare technical proposals, SLDs, layouts, BoMs, and system architecture.
• Conduct technical presentations, product demos, and customer meetings.
• Support RFI/RFQ/RFP responses, including techno-commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, EPC, procurement, and project teams for solution validation.
• Evaluate grid-integration requirements, safety standards, and compliance.
• Track BESS market trends, Li-ion battery technologies, PCS/inverter solutions, and competitor offerings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / Power Systems / Renewable Energy.
•
3–6 years’ experience in
BESS, Solar-Storage, power electronics, or energy systems.
Strong knowledge of:
Li-ion batteries (LFP/NMC)
PCS/Inverters, BMS, EMS, SCADA
Transformers, protection systems, grid codes
• Ability to read and design
SLDs,
system schematics, and energy models.
• Hands-on experience with tools like
PVSyst, HOMER, MATLAB
, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, customer handling, and presentation skills.
Preferred Experience
• Utility-scale or C&I
BESS projects, SECI/DISCOM tenders, or hybrid systems.
• Familiarity with
microgrids, diesel-hybrid systems, energy management, or IPP/EPC
environments.
