We are seeking a talented and driven

SQL Software Engineer

to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance software solutions that align with both customer needs and internal business goals. Job Title : SQL Software Engineer Location : Remote Contract Duration : 6-Month Contract (with the possibility of extension or conversion to a full-time role based on performance)

Key Responsibilities

Software Development : Analyze requirements and design software solutions that align with customer and internal specifications. Database Engineering : Perform simple table design and build SSIS packages to support data infrastructure. Quality Assurance : Write effective unit tests and appropriately integrate testing into the development process to ensure optimal performance and security. Performance Optimization : Write performant code, monitor promoted code, and utilize SQL Profiler and execution plans to ensure system efficiency. Innovation & Integration : Understand more than one platform or language, learn new technologies, and integrate advanced tools into existing systems. Problem Solving : Evaluate multiple approaches to development challenges, recognizing the pros, cons, and ramifications of various solutions to choose the most effective path. Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to others, contributing to a collaborative team culture. Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand how development choices affect other departments and broader company objectives. Project Management : Understand activity durations and demonstrate the ability to set deadlines on project subtasks. Security Standards : Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all company security standards to ensure data integrity.

Required Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred). Experience : 4+ years of related experience, preferably in software design, development, and documentation. Technical Proficiency : Deep understanding of internal systems and databases, with the ability to manage issues efficiently. Methodologies : Experience working in Agile environments and within collaborative, team-oriented settings. Design & Testing : Strong understanding of design patterns, software architecture, and testing methodologies.

Desirable Skills

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices. Good communication and teamwork skills, capable of working effectively in a remote environment.
