Business Finance Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Finance Lead to partner with business teams and drive financial insights, commercial decision-making, and operational efficiency. The role requires strong financial analysis skills combined with business acumen to support growth initiatives, optimize costs, and improve financial visibility across functions. The candidate will work closely with leadership, category teams, and vendors to ensure data-driven decisions and effective financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering - Act as a finance partner to business teams, providing financial insights to support strategic and operational decisions. - Collaborate with category, operations, and marketing teams to evaluate profitability and growth initiatives. - Drive financial discipline across functions and ensure alignment with company financial goals.

Financial Analysis & Business Insights - Prepare and analyze business performance reports including revenue, margins, costs and unit economics. - Monitor key financial and operational metrics and provide actionable insights to improve profitability. - Track category and product level profitability and highlight improvement opportunities.

Commercial & Vendor Negotiations - Provide financial inputs and commercial support in vendor negotiations and commercial arrangements. - Evaluate pricing structures, cost optimization opportunities and margin improvements. - Ensure financial viability of vendor contracts and partnerships.

Process Improvement & Financial Visibility - Work with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices for financial tracking and reporting. - Improve financial visibility through dashboards, MIS and data-driven reporting. - Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.

Strategic Initiatives - Support business expansion initiatives, new category launches and strategic growth projects. - Conduct financial analysis for evaluating new initiatives and business opportunities.

Candidate Profile

Education -

Chartered Accountant (CA)

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Business Finance role. - Experience in fast-paced growth companies preferred. - Exposure to e-commerce, D2C, or trading businesses will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills. - Strong commercial acumen with ability to support vendor negotiations and deal structuring. - Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
