Role Overview
We are hiring a Marketing & Growth Director who will function as a growth-oriented business
leader responsible for driving booking growth, improving retention, building city-level
community flywheels, scaling performance marketing with unit discipline, and growing brand
partnerships. This role will work directly with the founders and own growth across acquisition, engagement, retention, and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth & Demand Generation
Drive user acquisition with clear CAC and LTV accountability.
Increase booking frequency and retention across sports and cities.
Build referral, community, and organic growth loops.
Own performance, product & influencer marketing strategy and optimisation.
Work closely with product and city teams to align demand and supply.
2. Community & Events
Build and scale city-level sports communities.
Drive leagues, tournaments, and social sports formats.
Convert offline engagement into measurable growth impact.
3. Brand Partnerships
Monetise in-app and offline inventory.
Build integrated partnerships that drive both revenue and user growth.
Develop compelling brand narratives and partnership packaging.
4. Marketing Function & Team Building
Build and structure the marketing team across brand, growth, partnerships, and community.
Define OKRs and measurement frameworks.
Create a culture of experimentation and ownership.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
10–15+ years in marketing/growth roles.
Experience scaling consumer internet / D2C / marketplace businesses.
Strong performance marketing and growth fundamentals.
Experience managing budgets and driving measurable ROI.
Experience leading cross-functional teams.
Must-Have Capabilities:
Deep understanding of CAC, LTV, retention, and cohort analysis.
Ability to balance brand building with growth discipline.
Structured experimentation mindset.
Comfort operating in ambiguity.
Builder mentality — willing to be hands-on.
What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)
2–3x booking growth with healthy unit economics.
Improved retention and frequency across core sports.
Strong city-level community engines.
Structured and scalable marketing & content function.
Meaningful brand partnership revenue without harming user experience.
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Founders with full ownership of the Marketing & Growth function.
