Job Description

Role Objective

The key objective of this role is to ensure the smooth functioning of SAP operations by providing daily system support, maintaining accurate master data, and coordinating with end users to resolve operational issues. The role aims to enhance data integrity, improve process efficiency, and support financial and inventory accuracy through effective SAP system management.

Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in SAP support or SAP master data management. Practical exposure to SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, or related functional areas. Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries will be an added advantage. Strong understanding of GST, pricing structures, and inventory processes. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.

Role & Responsibilities Coordinate with end users to resolve daily operational issues and ensure smooth SAP system usage. Create, maintain, and extend customer, vendor, and material master data to support accurate business processes. Track, monitor, and follow up on SAP Change Requests (CRs) and incidents, while keeping stakeholders informed of their status. Manage accurate updates of HSN codes, IBD numbers, and other statutory or transactional data within the system. Identify and rectify SAP errors, including billing discrepancies, serial number inconsistencies, and brand mismatches. Perform pricing updates, price transfers, and GST corrections to ensure financial data accuracy. Update valuation types to maintain correct and up-to-date inventory valuation. Support stock transfers, material number transfers, and expired material transfers to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance. Assist in monthly period closing and opening activities, including resolving quantity variation errors for accurate reporting. Release and update costing data and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure correct production and costing information. Conduct periodic audits and analyses of master data records, including material master, customer directory, vendor directory, and employee records, to maintain system integrity and data accuracy.

Functional Skills Required Strong knowledge of SAP master data management processes. Understanding of inventory management, billing processes, and pricing configuration. Familiarity with GST compliance and financial data corrections in SAP. Knowledge of costing, valuation, and BOM management. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system errors efficiently. Proficiency in MS Excel for data validation and reporting.

Behavioral Skills Required Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good coordination and stakeholder management skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to work under deadlines, especially during period closing. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
