Manager – International Markets (Philippines Focus | Global Scale-Up)
Location:
Bengaluru, India
Reporting to:
Founder / Managing Director
Travel:
Philippines & other markets (as required, not frequent initially)
ROLE PURPOSE
This role is designed to be the
execution backbone
for international markets, starting with the
Philippines
and expanding to other markets over time.
The person will
NOT replace a Country Manager
, and will
NOT be a field sales role
.
Instead, this role will:
· Own
end-to-end coordination
across regulatory, principals, consultants, distributors, and internal teams
· Drive
timelines, follow-ups, and closure
· Act as the
founder’s execution arm
, ensuring things move without constant escalation
This is a
high-ownership, low-handholding role
.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Philippines Market – Core Focus (Year 1)
1. Regulatory & Market Execution (Non-Technical)
· Coordinate with
FDA Philippines consultants
for:
o LTO
o PCPR / CLIDP filings
o Renewals, queries, timelines
· Track and push
regulatory timelines
aggressively
· Ensure principals submit dossiers, samples, and documents on time
· Maintain
live regulatory trackers
(status, risks, dependencies)
Note: This role is
not for regulatory drafting
, but for
regulatory execution & control
.
2. Principal & Partner Coordination
· Act as single point of contact for:
o Indian / international manufacturers
o Consultants (regulatory, legal, incorporation)
o Logistics and clearing partners
· Ensure
commitments convert into action
· Escalate delays with clarity and data, not emotion
3. Business Development Support (Non-Field)
· Support identification of:
o Fast-to-market products (OTC, supplements, devices)
o Long-term pharma pipeline
· Coordinate pricing, costing, margin structures
· Prepare
internal launch readiness notes
· Support distributor onboarding (documentation, commercials, timelines)
4. Operations & Control
· Track:
o Import readiness
o Order execution milestones
o First commercial shipments
· Maintain
clean documentation
· Ensure nothing stalls due to “follow-up gaps”
B. MULTI-MARKET SCALE-UP (Year 2 onward)
Once Philippines stabilises, the role will expand to:
· Support
additional markets
(SE Asia / Africa)
· Replicate playbooks:
o Registration tracking
o Partner onboarding
o Launch coordination
· Become a
central international execution role

SUCCESS METRICS (KRAs / KPIs)
First 6 Months
· Philippines LTO + FDA processes moving without founder follow-up
· At least
X PCPRs / CLIDPs filed
· Zero missed timelines due to follow-up gaps
· Clear execution dashboards in place
6–12 Months
· First commercial launches executed
· Distributor onboarding completed
· Founder dependency reduced materially
· Ready to take on
second market
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
· 5–10 years experience in:
o Pharma exports / international business
o Regulatory coordination / market launch roles
· Has worked with
multiple external stakeholders
· Strong at:
o Follow-ups
o Closing loops
o Managing ambiguity
· Comfortable working
remotely with accountability
· High integrity, low ego, execution-first mindset
Education:
Pharmacy / Life Sciences / MBA (preferred, not mandatory)
