by helping their portfolio companies expand into India and the United States, with a deep bench
of expertise in execution, compliance, and operations. The goal? De-risk international expansion,
accelerate time-to-market, and build scalable, investment-grade operations in two of the world’s
most critical growth geographies.
Role Overview
The Content Writer will be responsible for creating impactful, engaging, and purpose-driven
content that amplifies Almawakening Foundation’s mission. This role will focus on storytelling,
campaign content, digital communication, and documentation of our programs, events, and
impact.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Creation & Storytelling
Write compelling content for website, blogs, social media, newsletters, and campaigns
Create impact stories, beneficiary stories, case studies, and event coverage
Develop content for awareness campaigns, inclusion initiatives, and advocacy programs
2. Digital & Marketing Content
Write captions, posts, and scripts for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
Support content for emailers, brochures, posters, and presentations
Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align content with visuals
3. Program & Event Documentation
Document events, workshops, and community programs through articles, reports, and posts
Help create impact reports, summaries, and narrative reports for stakeholders
Ensure consistent tone, voice, and messaging across all platforms
4. Editing & Content Quality
Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, and brand voice
Maintain content guidelines and ensure quality standards
Repurpose long-form content into short-form formats for digital platforms
5. Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with Program, Partnerships, and Marketing teams
Support fundraising and CSR proposals with strong written content
Participate in campaign planning and content calendars
Required Skills
Excellent written English (Hindi or regional language skills are a plus)
Strong storytelling and narrative-building ability
Understanding of social media and digital content formats
Good editing and proofreading skills
Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging content
Sensitivity towards social impact, inclusion, and community issues.
Preferred Qualifications
1–4 years of experience in content writing, journalism, communications, or marketing
Experience in NGO, CSR, social impact, education, or development sector is a plus
Familiarity with content for campaigns, reports, and social media
Basic understanding of SEO and digital content is an added advantage
