UI/UX Designer (Web/Mobile)

ETV Bharat is a comprehensive digital national news platform conceived to deliver seamless news and information services, using video-centric Mobile App and Web Portals. It is first-of-its kind offering in India in terms of diversity and depth, dedicated journalists network, reach of 23 states with services in 13 languages i.e.-Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Punjabi, Assamese, Odia and English.

We're looking for a User Experience Designer who understands that great content deserves great design. You'll craft intuitive, engaging digital experiences that make content (text, video, audio etc.) accessible, trustworthy, and compelling across our web and mobile platforms.

What you'll do:

Research how users across India consume news

Turn insights into wireframes, prototypes, and final UI

-

Design fast, accessible web and mobile experiences

-

Collaborate with product, editorial, and engineering teams

-

Maintain and evolve a shared design system

-

Use data and feedback to improve engagement

-

Experiment with new formats and UX patterns

Who you are:

-

Curious and someone who understands user-centered design, information architecture, and usability principles

-

An expert in tools like Figma, Sketch and prototyping platforms

-

Possess visual design sensibilities. Understand typography, hierarchy, color theory, and responsive grids.

Knowledgeable in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (you don't need to code, but you understand what's possible)

-

Conversant with emerging AI tools, and understand how to leverage them to be more productive.

-

Research driven, where your design proposals and decisions are backed by data and user insights, and not purely opinions.

-

Obsessed with details, and outcomes. You can be pixel-perfect when it matters, pragmatic when needed.

3 to 5+ years as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in digital media, news, content platforms, or consumer tech.

We also value:

Experience designing for vernacular/regional language interfaces

-

Understand accessibility standards (WCAG compliance)

Familiarity with React, React Native, Flutter or modern frontend frameworks

-

Experience with design systems or component libraries

-

Portfolio showcasing news, media, or content-heavy digital products
