Job Description:
We are seeking a visionary and strategic
Associate Director – UX
to lead and scale our User Experience practice within a
Pega-centric
delivery ecosystem. This role is responsible for driving UX strategy, establishing design standards, and ensuring seamless, user-centric digital experiences across enterprise Pega solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership, deep UX expertise, and hands-on experience with
Pega platforms
to align business objectives with intuitive and impactful design outcomes.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential Technical Qualification:
Any UX/UI certification is mandatory.
Should have
12 to 15 years
of overall professional experience in UX/UI and enterprise application design.
Strong knowledge of
UX architecture , including UX/UI design principles, design systems, information architecture, and scalable UI frameworks.

Hands-on experience with
Pega UX capabilities , including
Cosmos/Constellation
design system,
UI-Kit , and Pega design best practices.

Strong proficiency in
React JS
for building scalable and interactive user interfaces.

Expertise in
wide coding tools
and modern AI-driven platforms such as Antigravity, GenAI, Framer AI, Cursor, Lovable, or similar tools.

Demonstrated leadership qualities to lead and grow the UX practice, including mentoring teams and defining UX standards.
Proven ability to manage high-complexity enterprise projects, ensuring usability, scalability, and performance.
Experience in at least one of the following tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, CC, XD), Sketch, InVision, or UXPin.
Proficiency in wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
Solid understanding of Pega case management UX and user journey mapping.
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery (good to have).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Define the end-to-end UX architecture for enterprise-scale Pega applications, ensuring alignment with platform capabilities and business processes.
Establish UX governance frameworks, design standards, and interaction guidelines across products and teams.
Lead the creation and evolution of the enterprise design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and platform compliance.
Architect component libraries and patterns that integrate seamlessly with Pega Constellation’s architecture and rule-based UI.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure UX design aligns with underlying case types, data models, workflow rules, and Constellation architecture.
Translate technical constraints and system capabilities into efficient, scalable UX solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of UX assets into Pega’s DX APIs, View Templates, and Constellation components.
Work with engineering teams to validate technical feasibility, performance, and maintainability of UX solutions.
Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups for web and pega applications.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to validate design decisions.
Mentor junior UX designers and provide technical guidance on Pega-specific UX considerations, establishing UX best practices across teams.
Lead UX risk assessments, usability audits, and architectural reviews across applications.
Serve as the UX authority in architecture review boards, design councils, and solution governance meetings.
Mentor design teams on architectural thinking, design consistency, and Pega-specific UX patterns.
Visual Communication – UX designers must understand user perspectives and expectations to communicate ideas effectively and design experiences that resonate with their audience.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyse feedback to optimize user experience.
Maintain consistency with design systems and UX best practices.
Stay current with emerging UX trends, tools, and technologies, particularly in Pega Constellation and BPM platforms.
Preferred Qualification: (Optional/Good to have)
Experience in any of the Pega frameworks, Underwriting, customer service frameworks, CRM, CPM, BFSI, Smart Dispute, Smart Investigate, CLM/KYC etc.
Exposure to Pega Decisioning or Pega Marketing modules, with a solid grasp of their application within customer engagement and business process workflows.
Experience in banking domain, financial services, or regulated industries
Experience working with global teams and enterprise clients
Certification in Pega or UX related disciplines
Background in service design or customer journey mapping
