Role: Agile coach - Atlassian suite

We are looking for an Agile Coach to help drive the adoption of modern delivery practices across the organization. This role combines strong coaching and communication skills, practical knowledge of Atlassian tools, and the ability to influence teams at all levels.
You will work closely with the
Atlassian Administrator to ensure teams use Jira, Confluence, Xray, and related tools effectively
— but your primary mission is culture and ways‑of‑working transformation.
Youʼll guide teams in
moving away from traditional project‑management habits (PowerPoints, Excel trackers, manual status updates, SteerCos)toward data‑driven, transparent, collaborative practices supported by Atlassianʼs ecosystem .
This is a hybrid role that requires the ability to be both hands‑on (coaching teams in Jira configurations, dashboards, boards, and processes) and hands‑off (facilitating transformation, driving adoption, and shaping behaviors at scale).
Main Responsibilities
Ways of Working & Agile Coaching
Coach teams and business stakeholders on Agile, Lean, and modern delivery practices.
Facilitate the transition from classical project management to Atlassian-powered delivery (real-time dashboards,automated reporting,Jira governance,OKR/roadmap alignment in Confluence, etc.).
Run training, workshops, and coaching sessions to promote consistent practices across squads and departments.
Help teams design sustainable working agreements,ceremonies,dashboards, and team metrics.
Atlassian Evangelization & Adoption
Promote best practices for Jira, Confluence, and Xray usage across delivery, product, and business teams.
Act as the voice of Atlassian adoption inside the organization — driving awareness, clarity, and standardization.
Partner with the Atlassian Administrator to shape templates, workflows, and governance that align with modern ways of working.
Support onboarding of teams into Jira,guiding them on board setup,backlog creation, planning,reporting,and metric interpretation.
Organizational Transformation
Lead change‑management initiatives to improve transparency, reduce manualreporting, and shift toward data‑driven decision‑making.
Replace traditional methods (PowerPoints,Excel status sheets,SteerCo decks) with: Jira dashboards
Confluence status pages
Automated metrics and reporting
Roadmaps and dependencies via Jira Plans
Collaborate with leadership to embed Atlassian tools into governance and portfolio‑level processes.
Collaboration with Atlassian Administrator
Work closely with the Atlassian Administrator to: Prioritize enhancements
Validate new configurations or workflows Define templates and usage guidelines
Improve overall user experience and consistency
Translate user needs into clear functional requirements for the admin to configure.
Provide feedback on governance,naming conventions,and cross-team harmonization.
Goals and deliverables
Coaching, Facilitation &Enablement
Facilitate cross-team collaboration and alignment on delivery practices.
Support product managers, scrum masters, and project leads in using Jira/Confluence as their primary source of truth.
Design and maintain training materials, playbooks, documentation, and onboarding guides.
About You:
You are a highly skilled communicator and facilitator with the credibility to influence teams and leaders across the organization. You understand both
Agile delivery principles
and
how to operationalize them using Atlassian products . Youʼre passionate about simplification, transparency, and helping teams adopt better ways of working
Technical Background Required
Hands-on understanding of
Jira Software
and
Confluence , including boards, fields, dashboards,hierarchies,and team configurations.
Ability to translate ways‑of‑working practices into Jira setups(boards, workflows, templates, dashboards).
Comfortable performing basic Jira/Confluence adjustments and guiding teams on setups.
Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum,Kanban,SAFe) and their implementation within
Atlassian tools.
Exposure to Xray, ScriptRunner, Advanced Roadmaps, and general Atlassian marketplace apps is a plus.
Bonus: Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD visibility, and how teams can integrate with Atlassian tools.
