Research And Development Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for an R&D Engineer who thrives in ambiguity, challenges assumptions, and designs practical, scalable solutions across backend systems, data, and intelligent automation.

This role is focused on structured thinking, experimentation, and building robust solutions—not routine feature development.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate ambiguous business or product problems into structured technical approaches - Design and prototype solutions across backend systems, data processing, and automation layers - Evaluate multiple approaches and articulate trade-offs clearly - Identify architectural risks, scalability constraints, and failure points early - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to refine problem definitions - Conduct experiments, validate assumptions, and iterate based on evidence - Contribute to long-term technical direction and innovation initiatives

Required Qualifications

- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (data structures, systems design, algorithms) - 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend engineering or system-level development - Experience designing scalable, reliable systems - Ability to reason through complex technical problems step-by-step - Comfortable working with incomplete information and evolving requirements - Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

- Experience with AI/ML systems, data pipelines, or intelligent automation - Exposure to distributed systems or high-scale enterprise applications - Experience working in product-based or innovation-driven environments
