Business Head

As the

Business Head , the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the business unit. The role will involve strategic planning, financial management, customer relations, and internal stakeholder management.

The incumbent will be responsible for the Critical role in driving growth, ensuring profitability, and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Profit and Loss (P&L) Responsibility : Manage the financial performance of the solar Structure business unit. Monitor revenue, costs, and profitability. Implement cost-cutting measures and seek out new revenue opportunities. Ensure positive ROI for solar Structure projects. Manufacturing Oversight : Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient production of all Optimise manufacturing processes for quality and cost-effectiveness. Customer Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Understand customer needs, address concerns, and provide exceptional service. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive customer acquisition. Internal Stakeholder Management : Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, legal, etc.) to align business goals. Provide leadership and direction to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. People Management : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Set performance goals, conduct regular reviews, and address any performance issues. Ensure a positive work culture and employee engagement. Strategic Planning and Execution : Develop and execute a long-term vision for the solar business. Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape. Make data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives. Budgeting and Resource Allocation : Prepare annual budgets and allocate resources effectively. Monitor expenses, track variances, and adjust as needed. Approve project budgets and investment proposals. Business Partnerships and Alliances : Collaborate with external partners, suppliers, and industry associations. Explore strategic alliances with EPC companies and partnerships to enhance market presence.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). MBA is desirable. Proven experience in structuring the business of Solar / Solar PV modules, or related industries. Comprehensive understanding of the Market and the customers. Strong leadership skills, business acumen, and strategic thinking. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

The incumbent must demonstrate their abilities to build processes and systems for ensuring business continuity and sustainability.

Ability to analyse the ambiguities and chaos and design and implement best practices, systems and processes.
