Roles and Responsibilities • Design primary & secondary structures • Define spars, ribs, frames, mounts • Optimise CFRP / GFRP fibre usage • Define ply schedules & repair philosophy • Ensure manufacturability at scale Structural Design & Analysis Lead conceptual, preliminary, and detailed structural design of aircraft/UAV components Perform and review strength, stiffness, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses Develop and validate metallic and composite structural designs Ensure optimized structures for weight, manufacturability, and maintainability Analysis & Validation Conduct and review FEA using industry-standard tools Support static, fatigue, and structural testing including test correlation Prepare structural substantiation documents and reports Integration & Coordination Work closely with aerodynamics, systems, manufacturing, quality, and certification teams Manage interface control between structural and non-structural components Support configuration control and engineering change management Technical Leadership Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers Review design drawings, analysis results, and technical documentation Participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and technical audits Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with airworthiness, certification, and defence standards Prepare and review structural compliance and qualification documents

Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Experience 10+ years of experience in aircraft or UAV structural design and analysis Experience in defence or regulated aerospace programs is preferred
