Role Overview
We are seeking a
seasoned SAP Treasury Management Consultant
with
10+ years of experience , specializing in
bank integrations, electronic bank statements, XML file formats, and payment connectivity . This role will lead complex SAP Treasury implementations and enhancements for global clients, with a strong focus on
end-to-end treasury processes and seamless bank communication .
The consultant will act as a
subject matter expert
in SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM), driving solution design, configuration, testing, and integration with global banking partners.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Treasury & Functional Leadership
Lead end-to-end SAP Treasury implementation projects covering:
Cash & Liquidity Management
Bank Account Management (BAM)
Risk Management (FX, IR, Hedging)
In-House Cash (IHC) and Payments
Own the full SAP delivery lifecycle:
Business process design
Configuration and customization
Unit testing, UAT support, and go-live
Post-production support and optimization
Bank Integrations & Connectivity (Core Focus)
Design and implement
SAP bank integration solutions
using:
SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC)
SWIFT (FIN / FileAct)
Host-to-Host (H2H) connections
Configure and support
Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) :
MT940 / MT942
CAMT.053 / CAMT.052 / CAMT.054
BAI2 formats
Lead
payment file format configuration and validation , including:
ISO 20022 XML formats (pain.001, pain.002)
Country-specific payment formats
Handle
bank communication monitoring, error handling, and reconciliation .
Support bank onboarding, testing cycles, and cutover activities.
Payments & Reconciliation
Configure and manage:
Payment medium workbench (PMW)
DMEE trees and format mapping
Automatic payment programs (APP)
Ensure seamless
cash application, clearing, and reconciliation
using bank statement processing.
Optimize end-to-end payment flows and bank reporting processes.
Advisory & Stakeholder Management
Act as a
trusted advisor
to treasury, finance, and IT stakeholders.
Translate complex treasury and banking requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
Lead workshops, design sessions, and solution walkthroughs.
Manage stakeholder communication, risks, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Testing, Training & Governance
Develop and execute
robust testing strategies
for bank interfaces and treasury processes.
Prepare test scripts for bank statements, payments, and integration scenarios.
Train end users and support teams on SAP Treasury and bank integration processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years of hands-on SAP Treasury experience , including multiple full-cycle implementations.
Strong expertise in:
SAP Treasury & Risk Management (TRM)
Bank integrations and payment processing
Electronic bank statements and reconciliation
Proven experience working with
global banks and financial institutions .
Deep understanding of
treasury operations and financial systems integration .
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Experience with
SAP S/4HANA Treasury .
Strong knowledge of
ISO 20022 XML standards .
Exposure to
SAP FSCM, BCM, IHC , and Cash Management Analyzer.
Experience integrating SAP with
SWIFT, payment hubs, and third-party treasury systems .
MBA or professional certifications (CTP, CPA, CFA).
Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
