Senior Security Engineer (Co-Founder) - Build a Serious Security Product from Day One

We’re building a security product with a high bar for engineering quality, product discipline, and long-term usefulness. We’re looking for a senior engineer who wants meaningful ownership, real technical depth, and the chance to help shape a company from its earliest stage.

The Role

This is a hands-on co-founder position for an experienced builder who cares about writing clean, durable software and making good architectural decisions early. You’ll work across core systems, product foundations, engineering quality, and technical direction.

What You’ll Do

Build core product capabilities from the ground up Help define and evolve architecture across backend and security-critical areas Write high-quality production code with strong engineering discipline Improve system reliability, maintainability, and overall product robustness Help set the standard for engineering quality, testing, and technical decision-making Work directly on company-defining product and technical choices

What We’re Looking For

Strong track record in backend, infrastructure, systems, or security engineering Ability to design clear, maintainable systems without unnecessary complexity Good instincts around reliability, quality, and long-term technical trade-offs Experience shipping real products or platforms used in production Comfort working with high ownership and limited hand-holding Interest in building something substantial rather than optimizing around titles or process theatre

Nice to Have

Security product or enterprise software background Experience with lower-level or performance-sensitive systems Familiarity with platform security, deployment environments, or operational tooling OSS, technical writing, or public engineering work

Work Style

Remote-friendly. Flexible on geography. We care about depth, judgment, consistency, and output.

Compensation

Co-founder equity with cash compensation evolving as the company grows. We’ll be direct about stage, constraints, and upside.
