Role- Accountant/Bookkeeper with Australian Exp

Job Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards. Oversee the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements while adhering to legal requirements. Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, tracking payments, and generating financial reports. Implement and maintain process automation to enhance efficiency in accounting workflows and financial reporting. Collaborate with IT teams to optimize accounting software solutions and troubleshoot any issues. Utilize JIRA for project management and to track progress on financial projects and automation initiatives. Prepare monthly and yearly financial statements and reports, analyzing variances and providing insights to management. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to strategic financial planning. Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

Qualifications: Proven experience in accounting/bookkeeping roles, specifically in the Australian market. Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations. Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with automation tools. Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management software. Previous experience working in an IT company is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
