We are seeking a technically strong, client-facing Tax Preparer who can independently prepare individual and business returns while contributing to proactive tax planning initiatives. This is a full-time, stable, year-round opportunity.

Position Overview

The ideal candidate can confidently prepare 1040s, 1065s, and 1120/1120S returns, communicate directly with clients, and identify legitimate tax-saving opportunities. This role requires both technical accuracy and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities Tax Preparation

Prepare and review Form 1040 (Individual) Prepare and review Form 1065 (Partnership) Prepare and review Form 1120 / 1120S (Corporate) Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers Meet all internal and filing deadlines

Tax Strategy & Advisory Support

Identify proactive tax-saving opportunities Assist with quarterly tax projections and estimated payments Support implementation of entity and structural planning strategies Communicate planning recommendations clearly to clients

Client Communication

Interface directly with clients via email and Zoom Request and review documentation Explain tax positions, balances due, and planning opportunities Deliver professional, timely communication

Qualifications

Proven experience preparing 1040s, 1065s, and 1120/1120S independently Strong understanding of federal and state tax law Experience working with business owners Ability to manage a consistent 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM HST schedule Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail Self-sufficient and deadline-driven Experience with ProConnect preferred (not required)
