Position Summary
As the second-in-command in the Marketing Department, the Associate Director โ
Branding & Communications
will work closely with the Director to co-lead the universityโs branding, communications, and outreach efforts. This leadership position demands a strategic thinker with deep expertise in brand stewardship, integrated marketing, and multi-channel communications. (Candidates with experience in the education sector will be given preference.)
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director in formulating and executing long-term and short-term branding strategies to meet institutional goals and elevate brand positioning.
Oversee and coordinate daily operations and strategic initiatives across branding, design, content, video, social media, and PR, directly interacting with each functional lead or manager.
Ensure consistency and excellence in all marketing materials, messaging, and campaigns across digital and print platforms.
Good understanding of content for various collaterals and platforms
Supervise, mentor, and motivate team members to foster collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
Collaborate with academic and administrative units to align marketing initiatives with university objectives and ensure compliance with brand standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, agencies, and media partners to maximize brand reach and campaign impact.
Assist in the creation and management of the marketing budget as directed by the Marketing Director.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and new technologies relevant to higher education marketing.
Uphold an inclusive, collaborative, and creative work culture within the department.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum
10 years
of progressive experience in marketing, with a strong emphasis on
branding and communications ; experience in the education sector is highly desirable.
Proven track record in managing cross-functional marketing teams and multi-channel campaigns.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to develop clear and compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand management, content strategy, and performance analytics.
Effective leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills.
