About the Role

Cumulativ Consulting is looking for a

Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

to join us on a

long-term contract basis for US based client . You’ll be working on production-grade applications used by real customers, collaborating with a lean, senior team that values clean architecture, scalability, and ownership.

What You’ll Be Doing Design, build, and maintain

scalable Ruby on Rails applications Own features end-to-end: design → development → deployment → optimization Work with

PostgreSQL

and relational data modeling Deploy and manage applications on

Heroku Build and consume

RESTful APIs Write clean, testable, and well-documented code Collaborate with product, frontend, and architecture teams Debug production issues and improve performance & reliability Participate in technical decision-making and architecture discussions Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of professional Ruby on Rails experience Strong understanding of

Rails internals , MVC, ActiveRecord, background jobs Hands-on experience with

Heroku

(deployments, dynos, add-ons, logs, pipelines) Solid experience with

PostgreSQL Experience building and maintaining

REST APIs Strong Git workflow experience Ability to work independently in a remote, contract environment Excellent communication and ownership mindset

Nice to Have

Experience with

Redis Experience with

RSpec / testing frameworks Exposure to

AWS services Frontend familiarity (React / Hotwire / Stimulus) Experience working in consulting or product-led environments
