Finance & Accounts Manager ( Australia CPA)

About the Company

Our client is a fast-growing international accounting and advisory firm supporting businesses across Australia. The firm provides end-to-end services including bookkeeping, taxation, financial reporting, and advisory services to SMEs and growing enterprises.

As part of their expansion, they are looking to hire a Senior Finance & Accounts Manager with strong exposure to Australian accounting standards and taxation.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end Australian accounting operations including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance. - Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB). - Handle Australian taxation compliances, including BAS, GST, and income tax returns. - Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. - Work closely with Australian clients to understand business requirements and provide financial insights. - Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes. - Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including CPAs, auditors, and tax consultants. - Implement best practices in financial controls, reporting, and process improvements. - Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work where required.

Key Requirements

- 4–5 years of experience in accounting with exposure to Australian accounting and taxation. - Professional qualification such as CPA (Australia) / CA / ACCA preferred. - Strong understanding of AASB, BAS, GST, and Australian tax regulations. - Experience working with Australian clients or accounting firms. - Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks. - Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in outsourced accounting services for international clients. - Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines. - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
