Enterprise Architect – MapleRecord (AI-Enabled SaaS)

Role Overview

MapleRecord is building a

Canada-first, AI-enabled Records Management and Information Governance platform

for municipalities. We are looking for an

Enterprise Architect

who can

design and own the application architecture , define AI-driven use cases, and ensure engineering teams

adhere to architectural standards .

This role is

not about heavy coding . It is about

thinking in systems, designing scalable architecture, and providing technical governance .

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain

end-to-end enterprise architecture

(frontend, backend, AI, data, integrations) Define architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails for the platform Design AI use cases such as document classification, metadata extraction, and intelligent automation Guide Python backend and React frontend teams on architectural decisions Review solution designs and ensure alignment with approved architecture Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders Ensure scalability, security, auditability, and public-sector compliance Support long-term roadmap and future AI capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of

Python backend

and

React frontend

architecture Experience designing

enterprise or SaaS application architectures Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture Experience defining APIs, integration patterns, and data flows Comfortable enforcing standards and guiding teams without micromanaging Strong communication and design documentation skills

Nice to Have

Experience designing or integrating

AI / ML solutions Exposure to public sector, compliance, or data-governance domains Cloud-native architecture experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
