About the Role We are looking for a seasoned

SAP BODS (SAP Data Services) Consultant

to design, develop, optimize, and support enterprise-grade ETL/ELT solutions. The ideal candidate has strong data integration experience across

SAP and non-SAP sources , deep knowledge of

data quality and profiling , and proven delivery in

migration to S/4HANA/BW/4HANA

or

cloud data platforms .

Key Responsibilities

ETL/ELT Development:

Design and build data extraction, transformation, and loading jobs in

SAP BODS , ensuring data quality and reliability. Data Integration:

Connect SAP (ECC/S/4HANA, BW/BW4, HANA) and non‑SAP sources (SQL, Oracle, flat files, APIs). Data Quality:

Implement profiling, validation, cleansing, and match/merge using

Information Steward . Data Migration:

Support/lead S/4HANA migrations, legacy conversions, delta loads (ODP/SLT). Performance Optimization:

Improve job speed, memory use, parallelization, and overall ETL performance. Job Monitoring:

Schedule, monitor, troubleshoot ETL jobs via Management Console or external schedulers (Control‑M/Redwood). Documentation:

Maintain mapping documents, design specs, data dictionaries, and runbooks. Collaboration:

Work with functional teams and SMEs to convert business needs into data solutions. Support:

Provide L2/L3 support, root‑cause analysis, and production issue resolution. DevOps:

Use Git, branching, and deployment/transport processes (preferred).

Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years SAP BODS experience

(Designer, Repositories, Job Server, Management Console). Strong

Data Quality

skills (Information Steward, cleansing, match/merge). Solid

SAP integration

experience: ECC/S4, BW/BW4, HANA, ODP/SLT, IDoc/BAPI understanding. Advanced

SQL skills

across HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server with tuning experience. Knowledge of

data modeling

(star/snowflake, SCD, CDC, ABC controls). Experience with

scheduling tools

(Control‑M/Redwood/Autosys) and incident management (ServiceNow/Jira). Familiarity with

Agile , CI/CD basics, testing practices, and code reviews. Strong communication, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills.

Education:

BE/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/Information System
