CNC Development Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a CNC Machine Development Engineer with strong expertise in PLC programming, CNC control systems, and machine development. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for CNC machine building, logic development, macro programming, customization of G/M codes, testing, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities 1. Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Structured Text and Ladder Logic. 2. Perform I/O mapping, interlocks, alarms, and sequence logic. 3. Integrate PLC with CNC controllers, HMI, drives, and sensors. 4. Implement machine safety logic (E-stop, door interlocks, limit switches). 5. Develop and maintain CNC Macro Programs and Subprograms. 6. Customize G-codes, M-codes, and custom M-functions as per application needs. 7. Support customization of CNC cycles for machine-specific requirements. 8. Conduct dry runs, axis testing, and trial machining. 9. Debug PLC–CNC communication issues and optimize machine performance. 10. Configure servo drives, VFDs, encoders, limit switches, and safety circuits. 11. Work with TCP/IP, EtherCAT, and Modbus communication protocols for device integration. 12. Assist in factory and site commissioning, ensuring cycle time optimization, repeatability, and accuracy.

Qualification: 1. Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering. 2. XX years of Hands-on experience in PLC programming (Structured Text, Ladder Logic) and CNC control systems. 3. Strong understanding of G/M codes, macro programming, and CNC cycle customization. 4. Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, EtherCAT, and Modbus communication. 5. Experience with servo systems, motion control, and machine safety standards.
