Research Analyst

This role will be primarily responsible for idea generation & doing research on portfolio companies across diverse sectors under his / her coverage with the aim of outperforming the benchmarks & peers. He / she will also be responsible to do the research on broader economic indicators, sector dynamics along with timely help in day to day functioning of the Investment team. The role of an equity analyst is to analyze business model & financial data to forecast the company’s intrinsic value. This job is focused heavily on Quantitative research and analysis. He will be closely working with Fund Manager & Head of Investment

Key responsibilities Identification of "new stock ideas" in his / her sectors to generate "alpha" in the portfolio Identification of emerging trends in his / her sectors & monitoring of portfolio companies on daily basis Quarterly Review of Portfolio companies Developing the strategy of overweight / underweight on the sector Support Fund Manager & Head of Invetsments in managing the Investment portfolio to achieve the KPI of Dept Helping the Investment team in day to day activities Support Fund Manager/Head of Invetsments/CIO in MIS & Other Reporting

Qualifications MBA/CA CFA Would be preferred

Experience 3-5 years experience in Indian Equity markets Experience of multiple sectors would be preferred

Functional and Behavioral requirements Understanding of Indian economy & equity market Strong understanding of Fundamental and Quantitative Analysis In-depth understanding of sectors under coverage Strong financial modelling skills. Basic Knowledge of Portfolio Construction & Review Understanding of Risk Management in Investing Sound Excel & PPT skills
