The Opportunity
Queen Elizabeth’s School, Gurugram is seeking an exceptional Math Teacher to inspire, challenge, and nurture students across the school. This is a unique opportunity to deliver intellectually rigorous, engaging, and creative mathematics lessons that develop deep conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and analytical thinking.

The Role
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging, learner centred Mathematics lessons across Senior School levels. Teach Mathematics in accordance with Cambridge International Curriculum standards, including IGCSE and AS & A Level where applicable.
Develop students’ conceptual understanding, problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and mathematical communication.
Use effective differentiation strategies and innovative teaching methods to meet the needs of learners with varied abilities and learning styles.
Promote a strong mathematical culture within Queen Elizabeth’s School, Gurugram, encouraging curiosity, precision, perseverance, and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
Assessment & Curriculum Development
Design and implement assessments aligned with Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and AS & A Level Mathematics standards.
Use formative and summative assessment data to inform teaching strategies, track student progress, and support targeted intervention and enrichment.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to review, refine, and enhance the mathematics curriculum and its delivery across the Senior School.
Integrate cross disciplinary learning opportunities, real-world applications, and appropriate digital tools to deepen understanding and promote mathematical thinking.
Student Enrichment
Support and mentor students in Mathematics clubs, problem solving groups, Olympiad training, and enrichment programmes.
Organise and contribute to mathematics related events such as math fairs, competitions, STEM days, workshops, and guest lectures.
Guide and prepare students for academic competitions and external examinations, including Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level Mathematics, as required.
Professional Engagement
Participate actively in Mathematics department meetings, collaborative planning sessions, continuous professional development (CPD) activities, and whole-school initiatives.
Maintain clear and regular communication with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress, attainment, and engagement in Mathematics.
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports high academic standards while promoting students’ emotional wellbeing.
The Person
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Cambridge International Curriculum training or relevant certifications in Mathematics.
Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in Cambridge curriculum schools.
Understanding of COBIS standards and inspection expectations, particularly in relation to safeguarding, teaching quality, and staff professionalism, with experience in a British international school context preferred.
Proven experience preparing students for Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and/or AS & A Level Mathematics examinations
Personal Qualities
Deep knowledge of and passion for Mathematics, with the ability to inspire students and foster a love for the subject.
Creativity and innovation in lesson planning and problem-solving tasks, with sensitivity to student learning needs, voice, and wellbeing.
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusivity, and ongoing professional development to continually enhance teaching and learning practice.
