Founding Engineer – Feddi Remote · Full-Time · Eventual relocation to GCC

About Feddi Feddi builds the infrastructure that connects payments to retail intelligence across the GCC. Stack: TypeScript/Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, React. Event-driven architecture with POS connectors, SDK/API layer, and a campaign engine.

The Role Founding engineer. You own the platform — backend, frontend, APIs, infrastructure, deployments. You'll work in a small engineering team reporting directly to the CEO. No middle management.

You'll inherit an existing codebase and be responsible for its quality, reliability, and evolution. The system processes real money, so the bar is financial-grade correctness: idempotent operations, ledger integrity, full auditability.

We work with an AI-native development workflow (Claude Code). You'll be expected to use AI tooling seriously to move faster than a team your size should be able to.

Responsibilities Core payment systems: transactions, reconciliation, ledger operations APIs and SDKs for enterprise client integration Merchant dashboards and consumer-facing UIs (React) POS provider and payment processor integrations AWS/GCP infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, deployments Architecture decisions and their consequences

Requirements 3+ years shipping production software Node.js, TypeScript, Express — fluent, not familiar PostgreSQL — schema design, migrations, transactions, performance React + TypeScript for frontend AWS or GCP infrastructure setup and management API design for external integrators High autonomy. This is an early-stage company.

Strong Signals Fintech or payments experience POS integrations 0→1 startup builds Event-driven architecture, message queues Serious use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) Interest in the GCC market
