About the Role:
We are looking for a highly creative and data-driven Scriptwriter to fuel our user acquisition campaigns for utility and performance-driven mobile apps like AutoAlert (our digital UPI payment notification app). In this role, you will be the creative engine behind our video ads, responsible for writing high-converting (CVR) direct-response scripts and conceptualizing winning visual hooks.
You will work hand-in-hand with our video editing team in a fast-paced environment, turning market insights and app features into scroll-stopping creatives. If you thrive on high-volume ideation and know exactly what makes a user click and install, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
High-Volume Ideation:
Brainstorm, script and pitch 10-15 fresh, executable video ad concepts daily, tailored for paid social channels (Meta, Google Ads, etc.).
Direct Response Copywriting:
Write punchy, persuasive, and high-CVR scripts focused on strong hooks, clear value propositions, and compelling Calls to Action (CTAs).
Creative Collaboration:
Partner closely with video editors to ensure your scripts are translated perfectly into the final visual product. Provide clear direction on pacing, text overlays, b-roll and audio cues.
Performance Optimization:
Analyze winning and losing creatives alongside the growth team. Iterate quickly on successful concepts and continuously test new angles to improve conversion rates.
Market Research:
Stay constantly updated on the latest mobile app ad trends, viral social media formats and competitor creatives.
Requirements:
Background:
Proven experience in content writing, social media management, creative management or direct-response copywriting.
Creative Velocity:
Ability to maintain a high creative output (10-15 concepts/day) without sacrificing the quality of the hooks or the core marketing message.
Understanding of Performance Marketing:
Basic understanding of what drives conversions in short-form video ads. You understand that a script isn't just about sounding good; it's about driving app installs.
Visual Thinker:
You don't just write words; you visualize the final video and can effectively communicate that vision to an editor.
Adaptability:
Comfortable writing for diverse audiences, including merchants and everyday users across different demographics.
Nice to Haves:
Experience specifically writing ad copy or scripts for mobile apps.
Familiarity with scaling creatives across multiple regional languages.
