Director Demand Planning

About the role…

We are expanding our highly skilled team and actively seeking a Director, Demand Forecasting Solutions to strengthen our demand planning team within o9. In this role, you will lead multiple pilots and proof-of-concepts (POCs) in collaboration with prospective clients and our sales teams to demonstrate the early value of the o9 platform. As a solution architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of proof of concepts working closely with data scientists, and solution experts to implement o9’s demand planning solution and best-in-class forecasting models.

Our ideal candidate has successfully led customer engagements managing in-depth technical discussions as a current or formal solution architect as well as high-level results presentations with client executives, enterprise architects, and IT management. They will have a Master’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or related fields. Their background will be in implementing demand planning solutions, product development, or pre-sales, with a strong technical foundation in Data Science and a proven track record of delivering successful customer implementations. Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and/or Retail is a strong plus.

What you’ll do for us: Understand customer challenges with their current demand planning solution and tailor meaningful scope to quickly demonstrate the value of the o9 platform Work as a solution architect and project lead to deliver and lead Demand Planning pilots and POCs for enterprise customers in Consumer Products (CP) and Retail including mobilization, blueprinting, modeling, and analysis & presentation Translate requirements, structure o9 approach, and present the proof of value to win over new customers or extend their SaaS subscription Propose data requirements, assess data readiness, and map customer data models to the o9 platform Apply best-in-class forecasting models to improve performance benchmarks relative to customer baselines and competitors Drive strategic initiatives to scale the o9 platform for automated pilot delivery

What you’ll bring:

Mandatory: 14+ years of hands on experience in implementing demand planning solutions, preferably as a solution architect in demand planning Proven ability to deliver successful customer engagements and pilot projects Experience presenting compelling value propositions and project results Leadership experience with mentoring junior team members Strong foundation in Data Science, Statistical and Machine Learning forecasting models Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment Strong communication and collaboration skills across functions and geographies

Nice to have: Experience in the software or IT services industry Proven track record in agile project management Industry experience in CPG and/or Retail Master’s Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering
