Employment Type: Full Time, Contract Industry: IT Services & Consulting Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer for one of our clients to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate has deep experience with ASPX, C# .NET Framework, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, MicroServices architecture, automation using PowerShell scripting, and strong expertise in writing SQL queries, query performance analysis and optimisation. Experience writing TypeScript applications using React is a nice-to-have. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications in C# using ASPX and ASP.NET Core. Build and optimise data access layers using Entity Framework (Database First and Code First) Write, Analyse, troubleshoot, and optimise SQL queries for performance, scalability, and reliability. Perform code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and best practices. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application and database layers. Maintain and resolve issues with existing applications Production support, with some weekend work. Required Qualifications Strong professional experience with C# and .NET Core Hands-on experience with ASPX and ASP.NET Core applications and legacy system maintenance Advanced knowledge of Entity Framework (Database First) and EF Core (Core First), including migrations and performance tuning Strong experience with MS SQL Server and SQL query performance analysis Database design Data Analysis Evaluating query execution plans and query optimisation Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), DevOps CI/CD Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Excellent communication skills, work ethic, sense of ownership, diligent, systematic and committed team player.
