Job Description
Your Team
Invesco's Solutions Team comprises Asset Allocation, Global Strategies, Systematic Equity strategies, Custom Equities, and Custom Indexing. The strategies developed cover multiple asset classes, including equities, multi-asset, and alternatives, with a strong emphasis on customization.
Your Role:
The Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Systematic Equity strategies team. The role involves designing and developing the technical platform that drives the evolution of our products.
Working closely with colleagues from Research, Portfolio Management, and the IT department, the candidate will leverage software engineering practices and data warehouse technologies to build a scalable, high-performance infrastructure.
The role also involves supporting the ongoing development of quantitative models and product enhancements.
Design, develop, and test software solutions to support product and platform evolution.
Implement and maintain quantitative financial models and production systems.
Support and maintain daily alpha and risk forecasts for single and multi-asset class solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of research, portfolio management, and IT initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and platform scalability.
Assist in the enhancement and evolution of quantitative models and product offerings.
Review inputs and outputs of quantitative models for accuracy and completeness.
Document processes and share knowledge with team members.
The Experience You Bring
2 - 4 years of experience in software development, including business analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation
Proficient in Python programming (required); experience with R is a strong plus.
Proficient in SQL and database design (required).
Strong interest in current software technologies and innovation.
Demonstrated ability to generate ideas, resolve issues, and maintain a client-focused approach.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented, structured, and focused in approach to work.
Academic Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
